Putting together was easy but look through directions before putting together, this helps. The bed is sturdy but the side rail bars are pulled in when you screw it on, so in order to line the holes up with the screw holes it pulls the bars in and the dont fit as you get closer to the headboard. Low to the ground even in highest setting, I like that.
