This is a great dining table for first apartments or small apartments. No, its not the highest quality but its good quality for a small amount of money. If you only have one surface to work on, and eat, that shelf really comes in handy// move all your papers and books to the shelf below, have your lunch, and put the books back up to the table. If you have four chairs, the table seats four. 2 is most comfortable, but four is doable, definitely. It is a laminate, so special care is required so it doesnt scratch, but it is nice looking laminate.
