I bought this because all of the items that were less than $200 were made with cardboard; had plastic drawer pegs rather than sliders; and had super small wheels. Also, the $700 from Ikea was more than I wanted to spend. I am very happy with this purchase. I would buy it again.
This was well worth the money and works great. It doesnt feel cheap and is holding up will even with my small children who can destroy just about anything. The drawers opening smoothly and the shelves are sturdy. As a person who has to buy caster wheels for work, these are good quality and very stable. Everything is wood and not cardboard. It looks great. The main butcher block is very nice and the fold works well, but dont put a ton of weight on it. This should be obvious as it really only has a few screws holding it up but it works will for rolling pie dough. Just dont put the microwave on it. The front doors are even and so are the drawers.
Assembly- I set the timer to see just how long it would take to assemble. It took my sister and me 1 hour and 15 minutes. This time included opening the box, finding tools, helping my husband find something, taking a water break and putting it together. Please not that 2 people make with much easier, but could be done by one person who has more time. We had just been assembling Ikea cabinets, but this wasnt really that hard. The hardest part was closing their little flaps and it took a little pressure. My advice is read the direction as all the screws are very clearly labeled. If you just see screw and not the whole name you might get the wrong one so actually read! Otherwise, it was easy to put together. We used an electric screw gun, screwdriver and an Allen wrench which was included. Nothing else needed.
Pictures-- Included how detailed the screws were and the hardest part with are the little tabs.
