So initially I bought this as a simple rocking chair for our third baby boys nursery. At first I was concerned about the reviews stating its hard and not very comfortable. If your up at 2a with your little guy you want to be comfortable.
After I bought it, I went into labor and I had to have an unplanned emergency C/section. Id never had a C/section before. When they released me from the hospital my husband and I had no idea what to expect.
Upon arriving home, I realized my house was a nightmare for the surgery I just had. Everything was too soft, too low to the ground, or reclined forward or backwards too much and exasperated my pain tremendously.
My husband put this chair together and it was THEE only place I could sit for at least 5 days. It was perfectly firm AND comfortable. I didnt sink in it. It didnt recline forward or backwards. It was perfect for my back. The glide is smooth.
Im postpartum 2 weeks and although now I can get in the bed and on and off the couch now, this chair is still the most comfortable option. I have some lower back pain and this chair really helps relieve some of that.
The price and quality is unbeatable. I definitively recommend.
