Came with deep scratches/indentationsbut the is way bigger than we expected. The corners of the boards that support the mattress arena little sharp. Be prepared to file those corners and touch them up with the same color stain you might be touching up some surface scratches or filling with wood filler. This thing is heavy as hell in the box nearly impossible for one person to move alone.
