These silver full over full were a gift for my son (3) and my nephew (almost 13) who is temporarily moving in with me for a few months with his mom since I only have a 3 bed house. My nephew weighs about 200lbs and my son really shouldnt be on the top bunk yet. Apart from the difficulty putting it together and then discovering the rails the ladder and guard attach to are backwards and I cant switch it without taking the whole damn thing apart….The frame has a lot of plastic in it. It does not feel sturdy to me—particularly not sturdy enough for the weight specified on the specs which is up to 300lbs on the top and 400 on bottom. The whole frame shakes when he gets up there and I am TERRIFIED MY SON WILL BE CRUSHED. I need to know have there been any incidents with this furniture?
