The brackets were bent and a piece of hardware had to be replaced. I had so much to put together for my daughters room that I straightened the piece as best I could and replaced a bolt and made it work. I wasnt happy about this as the box was completely in damaged so it was clearly packed this way but other than that the seat part is nice. Fingers crossed it holds!!
