Very nice when finished, materials are what you would expect.
This was the second of four items I had purchased in this line and put together after the headboard. As to this 6 drawer storage bed here it is:
1) POWER TOOLS. Be careful with the materials, use power tools with care...and your day will go faster.
2) Handle the product with care...We didn't scratch anything, but it can easily be dinged.
3) If you have room, place everything out where it will eventually go, that way you can visualize how it should fit together.
4) This should go without saying...but follow the directions. (Per my husband: they are just the 'manufactured suggested way to put it together', but they really do help.)
My husband, daughter and I worked on various tasks and managed to get this put together in no time. If you are not happy with the sturdiness of the slats, you can always add a plywood topper of some type. We are waiting on a new mattress so I will update on the need for the plywood for stability.
I know a lot of people are going to complain about the quality, but I got exactly what I expected. You are only paying hundreds for something that should last with proper care! Believe me when I say a similar product could run you a lot more...expect what you pay for and you won't be disappointed.
