BEAUTIFUL CABINET!! This Artisan cabinet by Simpli Home goes under many names on different sites and first is VERY dark, but a WONDERFUL piece of furniture for the money!!
The color is DARKER than the picture!! And if you check on Wayfair you will see a better picture of the finish under MARCELLA Medium Storage Cabinet.
THE FIRST THING I DID after carrying all the pieces into the house was add casters/gliders to the leg bottoms as none were provided.
People have complained about the CENTER DIVIDER which can EASILY be left out if you need the space, but make sure your backing is up against each other before tacking as the center board is holding both sides of backing together and YOU WILL HAVE TO ADD YOUR OWN SHELVES!!
If you find a door is hanging lower, dont attach the backing until you see how the doors hang and then push the cabinet one way or the other to shift the doors and tack a couple of places on the backing, make sure the magnet plate attached to the door is not below the door edge, unscrew SLIGHTLY the inner hinge screws and put a screwdriver or tiny wedge under the door and lift slightly and then retighten hinge screws and that should level the door. I recently put together a TechCraft TV stand/console and the parts kit wasnt half the quality as the parts to this cabinet and that unit is 60 long!!
I did have to take a small phillips head screwdriver and ream out the holes for the shelf pins as they didnt want to fit the holes provided??
Also, since the wood is SOFT, when screwing in the cam screws, be sure to hold onto the black sleeve around the shaft of the screw so that the screw doesnt snap sideways, which can damage the wood. Great idea to have that.
Since they provided screws instead of nails to attach the luan backing, I used a nail first to start an impression and then used the screw EXCEPT AT THE TOP where you would hit the top.
The finish is lovely and the cabinet should last a lifetime!! Better than a lot of the stuff Ive seen already assembled on the market
