Be aware that 2 of the ladder rungs are only held on with dowels, that definitely are not going to hold an adult weight for long (like the amount of time to make the bed).
This thing was a bear to put together.
So far, it seems sturdy aside from the ladder, and my son likes it, but I'm not wowed by it and the paint really is uneven on it.
