The bed was a learning curve at first . The instructions are a general idea of how to put together and not specific to the actual bed. All in all once you get past that. By the way Im a woman and assembled this with no extra tools or help everything you need was there. Was pretty straight forward to assemble. The color was accurate, only wish the headboard was longer. I know once I add a mattress , you probably wont see the headboard .
