I got my son this bed for Christmas, he is tall and stocky and needed a good strong bed for his twin xl mattresses. My son put this bed together himself in a couple of hours. The instructions were spot on, and very step by step. He is very comfortable in his new bed. We used both the box spring and mattress so he sleeps rather high in the bed. The only problem with this bed is the long slats which are cheap, and 2 of them were marred, but we were able to use them anyway by laying them in the middle of the bed. We are extremely happy with this bed which was very affordable.
