Arrived in four boxes with appropriate parts (even a few extra screws) in each box. Assembly is 2-3 hours and very easy with level, screwdriver or cordless frill. Establishing drawer height on carpet was most time consuming task. I am very happy with quality of drawers (dovetail ends) and finish of frame. When installing make sure side panels have cutouts closer to foot board. Leaving near headboard will work but installing matching side table will block one of the drawers. This is not a problem if you flip side panels and leave drawer cutouts at end of bed.
