I did not look at the dimensions and was shocked by the size of the thing! Whole top cushion comes off of the base, but heavy enough where it doesnt slip. As with all pieces, it has a bit of a crunch when you sit/ Similar to some sort of mattress protector for a bed wetter. Kind of annoying. This is why I gave a 4.
Our 5 year old son decided that an ink pen to the couch arm was a good idea. I was able to remove the ink, with minimal effort WIN!
Update 1/24/19 Baby wipes removed BLOOD!
