    Good, not great

Not bad for what it is, I didnt expect perfection and they do work, but there are some issues. The instructions on installing the drawer sliders are less than clear. Couple that with the fact that the instructions call for installing the backer before the drawers and you can (like me) end up in a situation where you need to reverse a couple of sliders with no way to do so easily. I bought 2 of these, the first took 45 minutes to put together, the second less than 20 minutes. The backer is nailed on. The backer is drastically smaller than the frame. The drawer set is made of melamine (particle board with plastic laminate). Anyone who has driven a nail into melamine to close to the edge knows the dangers of splitting and thats exactly what happened at the center top on the 2nd set I put together. I used that set as the bottom of the stack so no big deal for me, just beware of nail angle (toenail rhose things towards the inside). My only serious complaint is with the thickness of the top. Its THIN. Like REALLY thin. The width of the unit is a hair under 24 with a top that is 1/2 thick. If these were made of actual wood thus wouldnt be an issue, but melamine isnt as strong as wood making the too less than capable of taking any weight without warping and blocking the top drawer from closing. I have a fairly small (32) flat screen TV, which weights very little and has a broad footprint (to spread the weight) on top of this unit and it warps the top enough to cause problems closing the top drawer. Increasing the thickness of the top to 3/4 material would have completely stopped the warping Im seeing. Overall, not bad, but not great. A simple change in material thickness on the top alone would have made this a 5 item for my uses
