Good tent, pros and cons to front porch

I haved used this tent on two camping trips of two nights each and like it. It rained both nights of the firstvtrip and everything stayed dry. Its easy to put up, even with novice Girl Scouts, and roomy inside. We fit 2 adults and 3 girls and gear in one, and maybe could have put another person in. I had a defect in my first tent upon first use, which replaced. The second tent bag was better... black nylon with an expandable gusset at the bottom that makes getting the tent back in the bag much easier. The first tent bag was green out of heavier backpack material wuth no gusset. Both tents were sent in a 5 week period, so I am surprised at the difference. The only love/hate thing about this tent is the front porch. It becomes a rain and debris collector in bad weather, but there is a mesh strip on the floor by the door where you can squeege water out and better the mess there than in the tent. The porch area does not have enough rainfly coverage to stay dry... if youre lucky, a portion near the msin body of the tent will stay dry. But this is what I expected so I am not disappointed.. The benefit of the porch is still there.. for buggy weather, as extra storage in good weather, and as an in-between area for shoes and dirt, doors left unzipped.
