Not the best in all weather (WIND)

We have had this tent for three summers now and like another three star person have wanted to love this tent but have had too many problems. We originally got this tent for the net area and the 6 person size. I was wanting a all-around tent that could go to a lake and boat with high wind or that could go to the high mountains and handle heavy rain. I have loved the rain capabilitys, but the wind not so much at the lake. We have had this tent at yellow stone where it rain hard every night for 4 days and we never got wet. On the shore of a lake with high wind it didnt do as good. We have now had to tent one being a replacement of the first tent that was riddled with one problem after another. I was done with this tent on that one run but the replacement was great. They wanted picture and for use to write the replace number with a permanent marker on the tent. When all that was done they sent use a new tent without asking for the old one back. Now I will talk about the two tents. First Tent 1. Problems on the first set up in the back yard two of the 4 pole/stake tabs came off do to poor stitching. 2. Went on first trip to goblin valley and lost another tab and saw ware on the pole sleeves where they ruble on the top cross section making holes that the poles come out of. Now I know why other tents have a gap in this cross section.(By the way I liked having a fool sleeve for the poles but now wish it was the other way.) 3. When through the return process and got a new tent hoping it was a lemon. 4. Fixed the tabs and use it as our primary tent and left the new one in the box for secondary. This lasted for one trip when more tabs came off and the seam on the bottom tarp started to separate. 5. Fixed the tabs again but didnt get to gluing the seam when are bother needed a tent to go to the lake so we took the new tent too. 6. High wind broke the pole and tore through the rain fly and my bothers things got soaked by the rain when we had to drop the tent to prevent more damage. Second Tent 1. Not a lemon and has make me say this tent is three stars and not -3 stars. 2. The cross pole section is the same as the first tent so that is not going away. 3. This tent is not good in high wind, since this tent was in the same high wind as the first tent but lucky enough to drop it poles before in tore the rain fly.I just hade to have wet cloth and not a bad tent. It did fracture a pole but I now have a scrap tent to fix it. 4. Fixed the pole and it has now been one year since that wind and I have found another fracture pole that I can figure out why. I have learn to put this tent behind something at the lake and out of the wind as much as I can and that has helped, but I am on the lookout for another tent with better poles but the same layout. One that has both great rain and high wind. I have been to many lakes and there is no trees for shelter form the wind and I have seen bigger tents do better. When go to the mountains this tent is awesome in the rain and the wind cant get strong. We just came in to many places with high wind or even the potential of high wind. In the end love the layout but not a forever tent for use.
