As reviewed here, this tent is great in all but one area. The rain fly makes the main section completely waterproof. Its fairly lightweight for its size, has nice components, is vented nicely, and the screen porch feather is awesome. We get 4 camping chairs in there so our whole family can play cards at night, or even ride out a rainstorm. Except they didnt include a rain fly for the screen porch so it gets wet pretty easily.
We recently solved that with a $30 rain fly tarp (10x12, but 8x12 would be sufficient) and $4 of snaps. Now when it looks like rain we can take a couple of minutes to add a rain fly to the porch. All our stuff will stay dry. Might get a little stuffy in there, but I feel like were pretty well set with this tent for a long time now.
The only other thing to mention is this tent is fantastic in summer months (has great ventilation) and also will shed inner dampness quickly (Again due to ventilation). Its one flaw is that the ventilation panels on the inside will make it a little chilly if your camping in the mountains as we often do.
Great tent with one flaw
