Bought two sets of these for my lake house kids room. I was looking for something with a lower profile since the room is in the basement and has a lower ceiling. This bunk bed set works perfectly. The navy color is really nice too. We painted the walls sunshine yellow and the beds look great in the room. The wood is light/weight, so I was surprised that once they were put together, they were extremely sturdy. There are a lot of parts, so be prepared to spend some time on the assembly process. My 13/year/old and I spent about 3/4 hours putting together two sets of these. The weight limit for the top bunk is 165 lbs according to the information included with the set. My teenager is a big kid (180 lbs), so we just have him sleep on the bottom.that said, he has climbed up on the top many times to hang out, and it seems sturdy enough to hold him. Very happy with these beds.
