We bought this for my dauther--to give her more space. She chose it because it had a built-in bookcase. We purchased a differnet desk--one with drawers due to distance learning. However, everything fits perfectly and does not feel crowded. The color is very nice and even prettier than picture. I wish that instructions were included for putting bookshelf/ladder on opposite sides. Instructions only show you one way and we had to figure it out as we went--which is why I gave it four stars. Functional, fun, pretty and space saving.
