Decently sturdy bed for a 75 pound kid, and should last several years. My 511 230lb husband got up on the mattress to test it out and it held hes also sitting under the bed in the pic for reference on how much space you have underneath the loft. I have a twin size bed up there with a piece of wood covering the empty space so there is room for stuffed animals. Took 2 people about an hour and a half to put it together. Great bed, highly recommend.
