I am a woman and was able to put this together myself. Once the box was inside the house, I opened it and carried it upstairs piece by piece. It was extremely easy to put together. No parts were missing, nothing was ripped, and its a nice addition to my small library. I dont have any back or body issues, but I found the chair comfortable. Its very firm, just how I like it.
