This item is decent and my 4 year old daughter does LOVE it. For the price, not sure how much you can expect. Putting it together was a cumbersome job. I put it together myself but it took upwards of 4 hours even with a cordless impact to speed the process up. Just unpacking everything took nearly a half hour. But I suggest getting it all out first and organized giving yourself LOTS of room.
Now the review. First off the directions are pretty good. Although they do not say when to actually tighten anything down. If you tighten everything down as you go you will have problems with things lining up. The tolerances are not really up to par when assembling. Many pieces I really had to work at to get the holes to line up or at lease get a bolt started. Some of the pieces where a little bowed but did go into place as I tightened them down. All the bolts are Allen Head and are very soft so the heads will strip very easily. Some bolts thread into a sort of sleeve that is pressed into the piece you are assembling. On one of the main legs, on of these sleeves was missing so there was just a hole in the leg with nothing to thread to so I needed to request a new leg. There are locking cams for the wood drawers. Much like any furniture that use these cams, they are very fragile. I had 5 break when tightening.
Overall, you get what you pay for. Its more work than you might think but granted you get it all together and with all the pieces in tact, it is pretty solid. The biggest issue is just assembly.
