Strong and sturdy enough for a 9/year/old, plus fun and room to grow!
Bought this bed for my daughters 9/year birthday, and she loves it! Its not too high off the ground for fear of heights, (it comes up to my shoulders if Im standing/Im 51,) plus the rails are sturdy and strong (so is the construction of this bed.) She can sit under it, and we are planning on making it into a privacy place for her to play or hang out. Im 51 and can sit under it as well if I slouch a bit, and the slide (yes, I was begged to try it out) supports a 110 lb. person going down it with no indication of stress on it. It arrived quickly and I am well/pleased with everything! The quality is aming, and the slide can be removed as she grows. A trundle bed, mattress, futon, or flip/chairs can be placed under it with the extra space it provides, and it can be excellent storage or a play/hangout place. Just note that the slide does make it necessary for extra side space in the room it is in, but like I mentioned, it can be removed. (The bed itself is worth the price without the slide.) 100 satisfied and happy with this bed!
