Not worth the money at all.

The unit looks good colour/wise. Now that I have covered the good point, here are the negatives: 1. Its not sturdy. It wobbles side to side when . I wouldnt trust it with a lot of weight and being moved around. 2. The guide holes on the pieces in many cases didnt line up or were not long enough for the wooden dowels on 3 peices for example. Im also left with a quite a lot of extra screws so im assuming that is intentional in case of loss? 3. The metal rails for the drawers were already fitted. Sadly the left hand rail for the middle drawer isnt level on mine so the drawer doesnt line up correctly. I even checked with a spirit level as proof to avoid the inevitable comments and blame from the other half even though it wasnt me. 4. Hanging files seem to be hit and miss in the reviews. For me, the files wont fit. I tried some old card rexel suspension files and also some new bright plastic ones that were recommended to purchase with this unit. Both were too wide. The drawer space, measured from the internal sides is 31cm across. The standard size for a suspension file pocket (not the hooks) is 31.5cm it seems by what i have available. The hooks are wider still. I have got around the issue by cutting the plastic file down and snapping the plastic rods to shorten so I can use them. A standard landscape A4 paper sheet is approx 29.7cm across to give you an idea of its size. (Those are my measurements using an old tape measure by the way, not official ones). The quality control really let it down. I wonder if the file dimension issue is related to the fact this is an American product being sold in the UK and our paper sizes are different? If the quality control had been better it would be a good unit, if not a bit over priced. I am keeping it though; with tinkering the faults can be ironed out however its not something one usually considers when buying furniture
