Expensive and lots of flaws in mine. Cats are a fan and I do love happy felines.
This is a solid 3.5 stars, but the cats love it. It was easy to put together with the help of my spouse, but it had some flaws. The screw and bolt set was opened and taped back together and a few pieces were not in the set so I had to make a trip to the hardware store. Also, trying to use the included Allen key and wrench were frustrating. Using a socket wrench and some bits made it go faster.
The couch was almost assembled, but I did have to add the legs and arms. The arms were tucked under the couch, but the bottom of the couch was ripped in multiple places. It had tears and the fabric was hanging. The staples were pulled up in a few places, and I had to get the staple gun out to attempt to repair it. An open bottom on a couch is not safe with pets because if they get inside, its dangerous for them.
There were also a few tatters on the couch that looked plucked, as well as a couple of wood splinters on the back and bottom sides. The legs went on easily, as did the arms, but it was hard to get it flipped over without it creaking and trying to adjust. It took two of us to get it. Once it was flipped up, it works well insofar as the legs are stable, the back cushions recline or let down, and the hidden legs in the bag function. But this thing is firm. Its not a great couch for sleeping or cuddling. I could sleep on it if I had to, but its not really cozy at all. The cushions are not super comfortable. I added some pillows and throw pillows and it helped some, but my back and bottom are not accustomed or relaxed on the firm surface.
My spouse and I can both stretch out on it if we have to. Its long enough for me at 57 and him at 59. It might sleep comfortably with a mattress topper or something added to it. I just dont feel like its worth 610. The components are simple and the quality just isnt there. Its more curb appeal and not so much about function or comfort. The cats are a fan of it, and I love happy felines, but thats about as far as it goes for my satisfaction. It works in a pinch and looks nice setup in a sitting room, but it doesnt draw me in or make me feel cozy.
Update: After two days of sitting on the couch, I attempted to let it out as a bed. The back zipper was stuck and when I inspected it, the tines are missing in places as if the zipper was a factory second or damaged. I also noticed that the backing of the couch is coming loose and there are large staples poking through the fabric. Theres pockets that are open and its a stab risk. It appears to be hand stapled, and poorly. Very cheap materials but fine
