    its glamorous

**Okay, Ive had this thing in my rowdy house of boys for six months now. Im going to give in another star because really this couch has been through a lot and it still looks good. Seriously, were talking boys jumping all over it and hanging over the back and just abusing it. I get compliments on it whenever someone comes over, its less uncomfortable now that its broken in a bit; I decided I think I really do like it.** This thing is loud in all the best ways, its a statement couch that could double as a photo prop in the beautiful autumn woods. Its as if a family in matching mustard yellows and trendy denim should be sitting on it in the middle of nowhere with fresh snow falling on their perfect smiles. Ok but really, its an attractive couch. Its pretty, its soft (but hard under the soft material), and its glamorous. I put this together on my own without my manly man around, just two eager to help toddlers who didnt help at all. It came folded up, I had no idea couches could do that, but it made sense and was pretty genus. The hinges are on the bottom connecting the two halves. The armrests were zippered away in the bottom, making it a great option for storing away or moving without keeping it in one piece. Assembly was lot easier than some desks and bed frames Ive put together. The directions were pretty straight forward. The only issue was one of the holes on one of the bottom hinges where you connect the leg was way too wide for the screw to fit, the other three on the hinge were fine, it was just one random hole that didnt work out. Also, when I tightened the nuts the tool given only worked on maybe two of the nuts and was too large for the rest. Im really confused about that, but life goes on and I figured out how to make it work. Once everything was assembled I put this baby on her legs and she looked good. HOWEVER, when we moved it or sat on it or bumped it in the smallest way, the back of it jingled for some reason. I still cant figure out what it was even after close inspection. The back is interesting, the zippers pull down to reveal the legs for the back, but the legs seem to be made with plastic less strong than PVC pipe. This worries me if I ever have a heavy guest lay on the bed part. Also I dont know why there is a lounge option, you can sit the back at an angle for laying back like a recliner, but it doesnt feel safe. I think Id lay like a scared hotdog if I ever used that position on this couch. Id just be afraid of it snapping back and breaking. I have young kids and I dont know if this is a good option to have with them. Besides the common food and bodily messes that follow children around issue that everyone has with a new couch, this thing is just asking for kids to ruin it. The zippers are a huge temptation for my six, four, and two yr olds. We had the new couch chat with my kids, but I doubt theyll respect it for longer than a week. Ok, I give them two days. The most fun part about this couch is that the suede/velvet finish on it really leaves a mark when you sit on it. Were talking details of the pants that sat on it, size, markings, whatever so if you need to know what size pants your guests wear, just wait until they leave and then measure the mark they left on the couch. BAM, you can get pants for everyone and theyll never know how you guessed the right size. But really. The kids like it because you can mark it and draw on it with the different direction of the material grains. Its like an etch a sketch. The only problem with it is it sometimes makes the couch look like its maybe dirty but maybe not? Not a big deal, unless thats a big deal for you. Although this couch is soft, it is not comfortable. It is not deep, either; its average at best. It is not great for cuddling or watching tv. What it is great for is looking good in your front room to impress people who come to visit. It looks rather fetching next to a white Christmas tree, the color really pops. It looks great on our brown/grey vinyl flooring as well. I like how minimalistic it feels, it doesnt have a large footprint so it doesnt dwarf our small living room. When laying it down, its not very long, but you probably knew that already. I am 510 and the best way to get comfortable on it was to lay diagonally so I didnt bump my head. Short people will have not problems with this. I am hoping that with time this becomes more squishy, the only problem with that is that I worry the material might sag once this gets worn in. I will constantly be worried about the back breaking as well. If youre into looks and barely sit on your couch and you dont have children or pets, this couch is just waiting for you to bring it home. Really, really easy to put together.
