We followed the instructions. We worked as a pair. We counted the pieces to make sure we had everything we needed. Two/thirds in we discover that a small wooden piece was too wide, causing the console not to sit flat on the ground. We dont want to return the entire console its a pain to box back up and carry its heavy weight again for one piece. Fortunately, we can live without it as we dont plan to put too much in or on the console. But we would prefer to have the defective piece replaced, and there seems to be no way to do that.
