Its a pretty sturdy bed. Also for the people that say it creaks, its a frame. No matter how tight you make the bolts its going to creak. If you dont want a bed that creaks I suggest you getting a wood frame. The only real problem we had with it was the part (pictures shown) had trouble lining up with the screw, besides that everything seems fine. I also bought the bed new, so if you bought it used dont expect it to be perfect. It had all the screws we needed and the extra parts were great to have on hand. (I bent a washer by putting it on wrong so it was nice to have!!)
Also, weight wise I wouldnt suggest having someone more then 200/250 on the top bunk. It holds me and my dad pretty well (separately we didnt get on the top bunk together, both of us are around the 120/140 range) He slept on it the first night and it held him all night. I also have a 8 inch thick mattress on top and the bars are a bit short so I wouldnt recommend someone sleeping on top who has a tendency to roll around, like a lot.
The futon part, I definitely recommend getting a thicker mattress or buying 2 6 in thick ones and when you go to sleep on it put the other one on top for extra comfort. I may of also not let mine fully puff up all the way so this is purely a recommendation.
For a 200 frame its definitely what its worth. As long as its not being treated like a jungle gym and you are taking care of it it should last you a good while. If anything changes within a few months all be sure to update here!! )
(Also again on the weight it does say 600 pounds but Id stay in the 400/500 range.)
Hope this helps future shoppers!! ) Meets Expectations
