I picked this bunk because I thought the assembly would be much easier than a wood bunk given my past experience. I was wrong. This bunk had what seemed like 1000+ pieces! The instructions are decent but it took us approximately 3hrs and we were moving along pretty well. The bed is fairly sturdy but I wouldnt trust too long for rambunctious children. Overall, it looks nice and I recommend as long as you are aware of what you are getting. Much better than expected
