Very nice, modern design chairs with easy 5 screw assembly

I really like these chairs. They are very easy to assemble and look great with my other contemporary furniture. I got them for use at a small dining table and they are exactly what I was looking for. The seat cushions are comfortable and even the back support is pretty comfortable despite just being hard plastic. The chairs arrive in a rather large and heavy box (I felt sorry for the delivery person!). Inside youll find the 4 main chair seats (with the cushions already installed) and the 8 wooden leg pieces (2 per chair). Theres also the standard bag of screws which is divided into 4 smaller bags so you have exactly what you need already divided up for each chair. Assembly is very easy. You first insert two of the wooden leg assemblies into each other so the centers fit together (there are 2 different types of leg pieces). Once you have them fit into each other to form an X shape you simply use the smallest of the 5 screws along with a washer and secure the two pieces together by placing the screw right in the center of the X. Next you take one of the chair seats and place it upside down on a rug or other soft surface so you dont scratch it (the instructions actually show you doing this step with the chair upright but it will be much much easier if you just do it with the chair flipped over). You then line up the leg piece that you assembled so the 4 holes line up with the 4 holes on the bottom of the seat. Then just secure it with the 4 remaining longer screws and washers. I recommend starting all the screws before you tighten any of them down, that way you can make sure you are able to position the legs so all the screw holes line up as you go. Then once you have everything started you can go back and tighten the 4 screws down. Its also worth nothing that there are arrow stickers on one end of each leg piece. The instructions dont mention these but I went ahead and position each leg assembly so the arrows were pointing towards the front of the chair. Youll notice that for whatever reason the seat itself doesnt fit completely nested into the legs. Instead it just rests on the center area where the screws go in and also on 4 points towards the outer edges where the legs contact it. This is not noticeable unless you look under the chair and is clearly designed this way but it did give me a little bit of concern that all the weight will be concentrated into a few areas on the plastic seat bottom. Once you have everything tightened down just flip your chair over and its ready for use! I like that the chairs come with felt pads preinstalled on the legs so they sit nicely on the floor and wont scratch you smooth floors. The chairs also have a nice deep bend along the back plastic which makes carrying them by the back easier (almost like a handle that you can insert your fingers into). One of my chairs has some ripples in the cushion towards the front, but those may disappear over time. It is not a big deal either way but wanted to mention it. Overall I am very happy with these chairs. They were easy to assemble, feel sturdy, are pretty comfortable for plastic, and look nice with my other furniture. Recommended!
