Im 53. The proportions of this chair have been hard to find, it is very comfortable for me. The chair part is excellently upholstered. The wood is pocked and has paint of a different color (peachy) on one leg. If you are really fussy about the finish, dont buy this. I decided to keep it because of the size. It has brown caps to cover the screw holes, but the holes are generally too large. I had to pound them in with a hammer. It was fairly easy to assemble, i did it in an evening. Good value. Worth every penny.
