There was a wooden clamp in the slots in the panels that had to be removed before screwing the pieces. In my opinion the most serious defect is the bed slat, which is very short and barely reaches the two sides, but can be managed with some patience. There is plenty of room for product improvement.
Without having a screwdriver I was able to complete it myself in 4 hours, with a little help from my 6 year old daughter to fit the roof, which alone would have been really difficult.
