    comfortable and sturdy

A sturdy, retro/styled, low/back armchair. Its surprisingly comfortable, easy to assemble, and well/sized for an adult. The chair arrives very well packaged/ wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap, inside a rather large box with reinforced edges / corners to prevent damage. Thats a big box/ the main part of the chair is all one piece, with the small parts secreted in a small bag inside a zippered compartment on the bottom of the chair. Assembly is straight/forward, and the screws can largely be tightened by hand, forgoing the usual struggle doing half/turns with an undersized hex wrench (included). On mine, the holes for one leg were a little off and took some effort to tighten (the rest were easy). It helps to be able to sit on the floor and turn the chair so the legs being attached are up. The assembled chair is very comfortable to sit in. Unlike many small chairs, I fit comfortably whether slouched forward or scootched against the back (Im 510 average male build). The bottom cushion velcros into place, so it doesnt slide out under normal use. The chair sides are wide enough (and low enough) to put your arms over them. Two quibbles: 1) the manufacturer doesnt indicate which way the legs are supposed to go (they fit facing in any direction), and it takes a few moments to figure out the correct orientation (for those of us who hate disassembling mistakes). The legs should face with the slanted part (that touches the floor) sloping towards the center of the chair. 2) Theres no/scratch felt pads included, but they had fallen off 3 of 4 feet and needed to be re/stuck. Probably better if these were left on a backing for the buyer to attach. Also note the body of the chair is large enough that its a little bit of a struggle to get it through an interior doorway with legs attached/easier to assemble it in the room where its intended to live. One last quibble; at least one of my cats really loves the texture of the woven surface, and is doing her best to scratch it ragged. Plan accordingly if felines share your household. Recommended. Much better than expected
