Short Review:
pros: easy to install, no extra tools needed, accurately fits mattress (in my case a queen size),ability to slide things under bed.
Cons:certain parts of bed frame slightly sharp (corners of bed frame and areas where was welded), middle legs on sides of frame which restricts the size of things you can slide under mattress, middle side legs bending, not fully plus size friendly (240+ Pounds).
Long Review:
So being plus size I have to do good research into products that will hold my weight, which for reference I am 510 and weigh 260/270. I knew buying this would be a gamble but decided to try since its relatively cheap.
When I first put this together I absolutely loved it. After figuring out the diagrams in the instructions and putting the main frame together I found the process wasnt horrible. Since I was doing other tasks in between putting this together it ended up taking a hour and a half through 2 hours to complete but for anyone else it can be put together in 1 hour MAX.
My bed sits slightly higher than my old bed frame and was comfortable the first few weeks. Its still comfortable but it does feel a bit different then when I first used it. I cant quite explain it but my mattress feels less plump. I know mattresses feel that way after a while but considering my mattress has been used for almost 2 years daily and is JUST now starting to feel like this after I changed the bed frame is suspicious. Also there is no solid flat base just bars so that could account why it feels this way.
My absolute biggest critique of the bed is its plus size weight limit. Not sure what the exact weight limit is off the top of my head but after contacting the seller they confirmed that my weight limit should be able to use the bed and have no problem. Coming up on 3/4 months of usage I am now experiencing the issue of the legs bending out (which is a indication of too much weight). I dont jump are plop down hard on my bed so there has been no excessive force applied. While I am able to slightly push the legs back into place they end up bending out again within a few hours. The corner legs are holding up completely fine for the moment and the bed doesnt creak or feel wobbly. If the middle legs broke I dont think that the bed would fall apart instantly but based on how its designed it would surely lose some stability and probably break after a few uses.
Overall this bed isnt bad especially for light usage (such as in a guest room) or for those less than probably 220 pounds. Interesting.
