This is a great bed and perfect for my 10 year old. IOne piece of wood was cracked. We just put some wood glue in it and kept going. It was up in about 30 mins and only needed 2 people once to hold some boards in place. Very solid, everything fit together perfectly and its what we expected. The only issue is, you might want to put some plywood down and then the mattress. If you have a mattress that has springs, over time, the springs will sag in between the slats. We have hybrid and thats the first thing I noticed sitting under it and my son was on top. You could also use a thin base/box spring but may make it too high. Perfect and Sturdy.
