Overall okay, the color is definitely not black, more of a cool dark grey, the bolts however are black. The welds are very rough. It took me about an hour to put together by myself and it is very sturdy feeling and no squeaking. For $150 I can’t really complain, but I think it could have been a little better quality. Wish I could give like 3.75 stars
Does feel taller than I was hoping but that could be because I have a 4 mattress topper. I do like the space underneath for storage, but I don’t like how visible the storage space is
