I bought this chair to replace an original Monte rocking chair that was just destroyed in my vacation rental. It was way more affordable than to replace the upper or reupholster it. This chair is sturdy, heavy and well built.but its extremely firm and too large for me and the space! Im 52 and I cant touch the ground and the cushions are hard as a rock so Ive had to layer it with pillows and sheepskin. If using this as a nursing chair (as my first Monte was) youll definitely need the support, but also a footstool. It looks great.but for me its for a rental not for everyday. I assembled this myself with an electric screwdriver.Im handy but this took me some time to wrestle with it because its so heavy. LOVE THIS SO MUCH!
