I love this piece! When it arrived the box was wrapped in plastic which protected it from the elements. Yes the box was heavy but I understand why. I took everything out and it was so easy to assemble. Just followed the directions and within 4 hours I had it done. Some of the screw holes should have been made a bit deeper and pre made just a bit better but other than having to pre screw them then put the screw in with the piece it went with, this item went together really well. It is very sturdy and looks great in my room. Fully assembled it is heavy, I would recommend having two people to move it around, otherwise take your time moving it. It was shipped quickly, no dents in the packaging, or the wood pieces. All the pieces were in the box. No weird smells to the box or the pieces. When I need another piece I will be ordering from .
