I recently upgraded my mattress from a full to a queen, and in doing so had to upsize my bedframe as well. A friend gave me a good price on a bedframe they no longer needed (an inexpensive unit from Walmart) and this bedframe is FAR sturdier than the cheaper one, despite using smaller metal tubes for the frame.
Theres no shaking or squeaking when its properly assembled, you just have to make sure things are tight otherwise components will rub back and forth causing squeaks.
The addition of the headboard being built in is nice, as many other more expensive bedframes dont come with headboards or dont even have the option to attach one!
All of the paint and general finishes look nice and feel like theyll last a long time, especially given the stresses that a bedframe will endure.
Pros:
- sturdy and easy to assemble
- looks good, all finishes are well done
- headboard is built into the bedframe, no extra purchase or fabrication necessary
- plenty of storage underneath
Cons:
- will squeak unless every bolt is tightened correctly
- very heavy in its box, you may need help to get the thing inside once its delivered
Overall, I think this is a great deal and youre far better off getting this than going to a big box store and getting something cheap that wont last or be comfortable/sturdy!
