It comes in 3 pieces (if you include the 4 legs as one piece) if youre concerned about tight stairwells or small spaces, dont worry the box is not that bad. You can assemble the chair in 5 minutes from box to sitting. Its comfortable and has a nice look. Color is more charcoal than black, the legs have a white pine look to them. Its sturdy and a good bang for the buck.
