Finding a bed frame was honestly such a chore. I wanted something more elegant if you will. But cost is definitely in my line of sight. See I drive a sedan, so getting a more traditional platform bed proved to be much more difficult than first thought. I was gonna go to and get the Trava wooden bed frame for like 160 I think. But there was no way it would fit inside my car. And delivery was an additional 40. After hunting and hunting on different retailers, I decided I dont need anything fancy, I just need something. And I decided on this guy.
The box it comes in is pretty compact, I could probably fit this one in my sedan no problem. In fact I did! USPS wasnt able to deliver (new building complex, doesnt pop up in their systems yet), so I was luckily able to catch it at the post office before they returned it to the sender. Wasnt all that heavy either, carried it out by myself to my car over my shoulder, and then all the way through my apartment complex and up the stairs without much strain or effort. So thinking about moving in the future with it doesnt seem all that difficult.
I was able to get this thing setup in maybe 20 minutes by myself. I read a lot of reviews on here that said it didnt come with instructions or a hardware set. Mine did, had no issues with that. The instructions are simple, one single sheet of paper. I probably couldve done it without it to be honest. They could probably do a better job labeling what screw is what, but none the less its not that hard to figure out. Maybe I tightened the sides a bit to much but when I went to pop in the support bars some of them got stuck and I had to take a mallet to them to get them to seat all the way down.
Its pretty high up, but feels like any normal height bed frame with traditional box spring setup. I wanted to avoid getting a box spring, thats why I went with this option. And so far, it does its job. Doesnt make any noise (as of yet) and if it does Ill probably pop the support bars out and put some oil on them or some anti/skid rubber or something.
One complaint I think I have is the corners really stick out. Im scared one day Im gonna straight up bang my knee on the corner of this thing. Aside from that though, Im loving it. Lots of storage behind my bed now! Good quality.
