Rating is due to damaged corner. Otherwise it seems pretty solid and usable.
When you get this in a box it is heavy. I found getting it out of the box is tricky. You have to open the end and pour it out. We did so very carefully, so nothing fell out of the package. Others may not be so careful.
However on inspecting all the parts, which are handled very nicely in the manual, I noticed one of the parts was damaged (picture included) and sadly this is an exterior part so this is visible after assembly. I’m including photos. Had this not been a Vine item, I would have asked for a replacement.
I noted that it expects you to bring your own tools, but did provide an allen wrench, which I never found the need to use and the flat wrench for the wheels. That was necessary.
First I put everything out on the floor, after removing an incredible amount of styrofoam.
Accounted for all the parts and noted the damaged one. (picture showing it before assembled and after).
This took one fairly skilled person about an hour to do on their own. Lots of parts. It went smoothly for the most part.
I took a picture in the manual where assembly was difficult. These little metal parts with a U in them, were not shaped so they fit flat on the wood. Besides that the screw holes in the particle board versus the metal were slightly mismatched. In each case (3), the metal was wider than the wood.
Also on the bottom drawer the handle screws bottomed out in the handle before they were a snug fit. As the other two were fine, I can only blame the handle. But both screws had this issue. I can probably add a washer to make up for this. It isn’t that loose, that it is critical however.
In all except where noted the assembly went well. The drawers seem solid enough for long term use. Only major ding was damaged corner.
