Ive had a memory foam mattress for about eight years, a Serta mattress to be exact call mom and this mattress puts the Serta mattress to shame. This mattress action is not very clear on if it uses cooling gel Technology, but I opened up the mattress and indeed it does have about a 2 1/2 inch layer of memories of gel. I no longer gets hot in the middle of the night, and this mattress is not too firm, but not too soft either. I would make sure to open up the zipper on each side of the mattress when you are letting the foam inflate, this allows the mattress to firm up for the first 72hrs. Awesome for the price!
