Been using this now for a couple of months. Was very easy to assemble. I did some (not a lot) sanding, and pre-stain and then stain. Not really my thing but it turned out pretty darn good nevertheless. This bed is VERY sturdy and with the number of slats it has it gives a SOLID foundation. I do think it is just a little bit high but it does advertise the extra clearance below so I shouldnt be surprised. I also have a pretty thick mattress (Seally Posturpedic Ultimate) so that certainly contributes to the final height. A great value in my opinion considering the other choices.
