So far this seems like a great bed at a great price. I say so far because we just built the first one (I will update if anything goes wrong with the second triple bunk bed or if anything happens with the first one). We bought two of these as we have six children, and we are still looking for our dream home. These beds caught my eye because they dont take up much space, and can be taken apart into separate beds when we do find our dream home so we arent having to purchase new beds later. We bought one for the girls room and one for the boys room. The girls all love them. We have not built the boys yet as I only have one day a week off work and school. My husband tried all day to get them together and only had one bed put together. I took over and got the other two together and got the mattresses in and beds maid in about 2 1/2 hours by myself. So Im guessing it would have taken me about 3 hours to completely build all three beds. The directions were simple pictures and honestly it was just pretty easy to figure out without using them much. My only issue is how small the spaces are between the beds and there is nothing to anchor the beds to the wall to keep them from tipping forward. Theyre not super heavy beds to move. I moved the fully assembled triple bunk bed by myself across the room to where I wanted it. Which makes me worry about possible tipping due to how light it is. Im going to find a way to fasten it to the wall just to be safe (because we do have six kids). Overall I am pleased for the price though. Plus they do safe space which is what I was wanting since our house is fairly small right now. The boys are very excited for theirs to get built, but since they are toddlers Im going to wait until I find a way to fasten them to the walls first. I would recommend the company make something to secure the beds to the wall for safety reasons or make the bed heavier so it doesnt seem like it would be easy to tip. My girls are all about the same size as me and I was able to move the bed on my own which kind of freaks me out about the tipping. On a good note, IF it did tip, it wouldnt crush a child because it is so light. It does seem sturdy otherwise I climbed onto each level and bounced around and nothing cracked or seemed flimsy or worrisome. Climbing the taller ladder did slightly pull the bed away from the wall though. Im only 140lbs, and this bed is suppose to be rated for 250lbs per level. But I dont think that included climbing the ladder because it did pull away from the wall a little when I did so. I put my smallest girl on top and it didnt seem to pull away when she climbed up it, but she weighs about 50lbs less than me too. So beware if you have larger kids that you will likely need to secure it. Otherwise it seems like a great deal for the price. And hopefully the manufacturer will find a good solution for the potential tipping hard sooner than later. Until then Im off to homedepot to find something to secure it to the wall. Smaller than I expected.
Overall good bed but.
