Very happy with this because it is made from wood. Not particle board nor MDF. Nothing is worse than those two materials . flat out junk! The slats are made from cabinet grade plywood. Assembly is pretty straight fwd and was easy to do. I would suggest using, if you have one, an Allen wrench with a longer handle or as I did, I used an Allen socket wrench. The lag screws supplied to assemble the side rails are pretty long and beefy. The supplied wrench will take you forever and will put some strain on your hands. I only gave it 4 stars because there were some minor flaws with the finish but it wont be noticeable because of the mattress. One spot had a run in the paint and another where the finish was bit thinner than the rest. Overall nice bed. My daughter enjoys it and looks nice. Perfect.
