Weve only had it for a few days, but my 3/year/old loves it. We did the fire/truck curtains and are doing his room in fire/truck theme. His older brother plays with him under it in their Fire Station. Dont expect super/high side panels for safety / its plenty high enough to stop them from rolling out of bed if you get the 6 mattress (there is at least 6/8 inches above the mattress). For us, it was exactly what were looking for only my Mother/in/law feels it is too dangerous. Personally, I think since its only about 3 feet high it is not much of a risk!
