This is just the right size for my medium sized cat. She took to it right away. I needed something next to my stacked washer and dryer in a closet that was flat on top to put my laundry basket on top. I got one of those plastic kitty rugs for the front to collect any litter that comes out on her paws. The door completely opens so I can pull the pan out and clean it easily. The unit took about 30 minutes or so to put together and the instructions are on par with most good furniture that you have to put together (Im a veteran at putting stuff like this together). I didnt have to fix anything outside of the instructions. Everything was labeled well. It seems quite sturdy. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it looks in person. It gives me the option of putting it out where people can see it.
