These bar stools are powder-coated in black and the seat is made of sturdy plastic. There was a small scratch on one of the seats and the workmanship is really on the thin side. I think that the price-performance ratio is not quite right. They look nice, but for the price I imagine a bit more quality. Set up was easy and was done in 5 minutes. We give it 4 stars with a blink of an eye!
